Truck Performance Chips

A Diesel Performance Chip or power programmer from different brands like jet performance may be what you are interested in learning about. A programmer, or a downloader, is a hand held tuning computer with the capability of reprogramming the vehicles onboard computer by plugging into the underdash diagnostic port . Some are even code readers in the some unit. A chip is a replacement part that upgrades your stock component. There are also modules and chips that plug into the vehicles wiring harness that you can adjust and disable on the fly.
Performance chips are easy to install with torque gains up to 200 lbs/ft or add up to 171 ponies under the hood depending on the specific vehicle.
For simplicity, let’s call them all the chips. They work by adjusting the timing curve vehicles crossing point, the towers, and speed limiters, and the rate of fuel. The warranty is to be used and not to be voided. However, if you bring your vehicle to a truck dealer, it will be a good idea to remove the program if a software update for your computer is to be done. I personally have a edge evolution programmers and about five minutes to install or remove. What really makes a big difference is its drivability.
Performance Chips in combination with aftermarket exhaust and air intakes to help your diesel engine breath easer. More air indicates more power and better fuel economy but still depends on driving style . Get it to the subsequent step and exchange you diesel injectors with aftermarket injectors to enhance diesel fuel atomization in combination with Diesel Performance Chips, exhaust and air intake, and you could double your Diesel engine’s horsepower and torque.
