A computer data backup system is another essential item for keeping your PC safe. This should include an external hard drive that you load important data to each day, week, or month. How often you back your data up will depend on how valuable you feel your new data is.
Now that your computer is protected from internal threats, you should look into protecting it from external ones. While a computer data backup system will protect you from losing data, it will not protect it from being copied and stolen. The best way to do this is to get a good anti virus system.
The best free anti virus system is Avast and it does a great job. A paid version is available from Avast, but many people would rather use Norton if they plan on paying. Ad-Aware is a fantastic safe guard against spy ware This program provides you with a free version with the option to buy a more advanced paid one. The free version is so great that you probably don’t need the paid one.
