Effectively plan the space to furnish is halfway to a nice end result, and for the office, where even feel like work! The division or area that has for the office is big or small? It will be a place where you will spend many or few hours? How many people will serve? Only adults or children as well? What budget is available? Clients will receive or is a space just for you? Whether a formal, semi-formal or informal? Regardless of the answers to these questions, when you choose furniture for your office search guided by these three golden rules:
1. Simplicity: Simple can be beautiful, trendy and functional, and will certainly be a better long-term investment;
2. Versatility is always a good idea to purchase furniture that can be easily transported or allowing changes or additions of parts to meet your growing needs and future (which is why the systems modules are so popular!);
3. Quality: A good investment is one made in quality furniture, or furniture that will not leave, give or get fast with one aspect of old after a handful of months of use, within its capabilities, look for durable furniture.
Multifunction Table
- Protagonist of any office, a desk is not just a table when one considers that this is a job which will probably long hours … and expected productive!
- Big, small, rectangular, square, oval, round, stretchers, solid wood, particle board, MDF, steel, there are a variety of tables for office. Find the right one for you and your space.
- In general, a good office requires a large table! Let’s face it: you need space for the computer, keyboard, mouse, and roles to work without being on the computer … not to mention it in the printer, fax, phone, door-handles, among all the other accessories that are essential in an office!
- So there are huge tables that can go from one end to another office; L shaped desks, perfect for working side by side with another person or to gain an extra work surface, corner desks for small spaces, meeting tables ; drop tables, tables with removable panels to grow when you need more space! Locate the one best suited to your office and how you will use: an antique desk can be beautiful in the office, but as will surely be of limited extent and without drawers, it will not be productive on the other hand, a table top in glass can give a special touch to your workspace, but if you have children at home, may not be a very viable idea!
- Even if you go buy storage modules, we recommend you to purchase a table with built-in drawers, or even file to folder drop built – will be easier to keep the work area organized, but with everything you need handy.
Comfortable chair
- Equally or more important that the Bureau for your office is the chair that will follow. If you are going to be sitting on it for eight or more hours a day, then it must be comfortable, or do not go looking for the biggest bargain of your life, but go prepared to invest! In this department there is also a huge variety, from simple chairs in wood or plastic, through chairs with injected foam covered with fabric, suede or fur, rotating or not, with or without wheels.
- The detail of the wheel – to move easily between the ends of the table and even the office! – And the chair’s own power to turn – means you can lean forward and back and maintain a comfortable eye contact with your monitor for example – are two great advantages when choosing a chair to complete your table office.
- Far more crucial than its design and material, an office chair needs to fit you and your work, because the daily stress that an inappropriate chair can inflict in his column could bring serious health problems. The back of the chair you choose should have a slight contour which follows the curve of the back, a padded seat for extra comfort, however, should not be too tight. In addition, a good office chair should have arms homes, especially if you spend many hours on the computer.
The age of ergonomics
The table and chair that we have in our office have a direct impact on our productivity, since they influence our attitude and comfort levels. Worse than an uncomfortable chair or a table very low, are the negative effects that will eventually lead to: back pain, legs, arms or wrists, fatigue, irritability, stress and devolution. Basically, these parts must be adjustable so you can adjust both until you feel really comfortable during long hours of work. The furniture can be your friend or foe, so invest some time in their choice, trying everything on the spot.
