Make Beats for Hip Hop

I spend a lot of time building videos for my internet sites and one of the issues I run into all of the time is finding background music to play in the video. Due to copyright and other legal concerns, its not feasible to use real music that you would download from iTunes in the videos. I know many people do this, but its just not the decent thing to do.

Therefore in order to find background tracks, it is necessary to search the internet, sometimes for hours, to find the best tunes. The thing is, finding royalty free music isn’t like finding the right image for a site or a video. With footage, you can load up 100 or even more images on your browser and quickly view them all. Its straightforward to find the correct picture.

But with audio tracks, you have to listen to each audio individually which takes a huge amount of time and energy. Clicking on a WAV or MP3 file, waiting for the player to launch up, then listening to 20 or thirty seconds and realizing that it isn’t what I really want. So you have to shut the player off and go to the following file and start the process over again. It actually takes about 30 seconds to a minute to hear a single track. Listening to 50 or 60 tracks to find the one you need whenever you make a new video and you can see it issue.

One major point, you dont truly need a full band playing in the background on these videos. All you really need is a straightforward beat with just a little chord structure. The extraordinary thing is I’ve found that rap beats and hip-hop beats work great for this type of video.

There are many programs available online that may simply let you make beats for rap or make beats for hip hop, jazz, jungle or whatever else that you want. So I acquired one of those programs and downloaded it on my computer. The promo particularly asserted that you could create your first beat in about ten minutes ( which is a little stretch because the intro tutorial video was forty minutes long ), but after I watched the start up video they were right on. It took me only about 10 minutes to get it going.

I do have a small knowledge of music, so I understand the fundamental idea of music, beats and chord structure, but whether or not you haven’t any music background at all I think its feasible to make beats for rap and hip hop with no trouble at all .

Not being a rap or hip-hop artist myself, I wondered whether or not it were feasible to create less complicated and slower beats with this program, and to my amazement it was not a problem at all . With rap and hip hop, the powerful beat hits on the first and 3rd beat of the bar. For example, if you count a beat out in hip hop for 2 bars ( eight beats ) it might sound like this ( put emphasis on the words in caps ) : ONE two THREE four ONE two THREE four. But if you create swing or jazz beats you would do exactly the reverse : one TWO three FOUR one TWO three FOUR. Make the beat a little less pronounced and add some brass or violins over the beat, run it for about sixteen bars and then repeat the loop.

I’m able to create a background track with drums, horns, and violins for my videos now in about a 30 minutes. Way cool. As an example, the video below has the first track that I created. Its not the best, but its a good example showing how straightforward it is to make beats for rap or hip-hop.
