Toyota Highlander –A Car That Everyone Dreams About
I dreamed again last night about traveling across the country in Josh’s Toyota Highlander hybrid with my little brother Steve and our dog Rascal. When I woke up I could not get the images out of my head and so I spent the morning (I shouldn’t be saying this because I was supposed to be working) reading Toyota Highlander reviews and getting photos of Toyota Highlanders.
I print them all and collage my walls with them. In my dream, Steve and I stop at picturesque attractions as we travel. You know, the world’s biggest ball of string, or the moaning haunted caves. Things like that. We roll down the windows and stick our heads out while Rascal looks at us like we have lost our minds.
The dream feels free and pleasing, like there’s nowhere I have to be. No one tapping their foot, waiting for me to finish a task. It’s just me, the baby brother who thinks I am a genius, as well as a lovable, scrappy little dog. We run the highways, living out the great adventure.
In actual life, my small, beat up car is the opposite of cool. My door leaks while I drive during the rains, and the blue smoke coming from my tailpipe gives me the feeling it does not have any longer to live. The end is approaching, and I will be sad to see it go. Not least of all because I don’t understand where I will come up with the money to replace it.
Possibly it’s time for me to follow this dream. I will save bundles of money on fuel if I have the Toyota Highlander hybrid 7 seat SUV, isn’t it? Then Steve and I would be out of excuses. We’ll have to throw warning to the wind and start our mysterious trip. Who knows where the wind would carry us?
Perhaps I will end up spending the summer waiting tables in a little diner in Nebraska. Perhaps I will start a road side stand in New Mexico and sell out handmade tees. I will spend all my free time running after Rascal around the park and teaching Steve the way to skip rocks in the river.
And any time we feel we have had enough, we just have to save up sufficient fuel money to move the next city and leapfrog back to our home. Perhaps I will not do it. Perhaps I will not even get the Toyota Highlander. But I surely like the way the dream feels.
